Listen to the Trees sprouted as an idea in the winter of 2024, though its roots go back much further. My journey with the trees began long ago when my mother imparted her wisdom about their whispers.

After her passing, I drifted from their guidance. Feeling lost without my closest friend, I had all but forgotten how to hear the trees.

Then on a chilly day in February, when I opened the door and stepped outside, I swear I could hear the trees calling me back. Those first calls started as quiet whispers that began to awaken a familiar yet fresh story in my mind. I spent the next several hours of that day embracing its nuances, which almost by accident led to me penning my first piece of literature aptly named “Listen to the Trees”.

It was then, in those quiet moments, I reunited with the part of myself that I thought was lost, simply by tuning in a bit more keenly to the stories all around me.
